From STL to Amazon FBA in minutes — built on the Slant 3D API
Restocking a 3D-printed product on Amazon used to mean juggling a print shop, a packing service, label printing, and a freight booking. SlantBox collapses all of that into one page. Drop in a model, add your Amazon labels, pay, and the parts show up at FBA. The reason it can be that simple is the Slant 3D API.
What SlantBox does
SlantBox is a restocking service for Amazon FBA sellers whose products are 3D printed. You upload an STL, choose a quantity and material, and attach your per-unit barcode and your FBA shipping label. SlantBox measures the part, picks the right individual box for each unit, packs those into the fewest shipping cartons possible, and shows a full price before you pay. After checkout, Slant 3D prints, packs, labels, and ships the order straight to Amazon.
Why the API makes it easy
Slant 3D runs one of the largest 3D print farms in the world, and its API exposes that farm as a handful of simple web requests. Instead of building quoting engines, slicing pipelines, or production scheduling, SlantBox just asks the API. The whole manufacturing side of the app is four steps:
Step 01
Upload the STL
The file is sent to Slant 3D with one direct-upload call and confirmed. No slicing software, no printer setup.
Step 02
Get a real price instantly
An estimate call returns the per-part cost for the exact geometry and material you picked, in seconds.
Step 03
Pick a material
The material list (PLA, PETG, OPM and every color) comes live from the API, so it's always what the farm actually stocks.
Step 04
Pay once
Checkout covers parts, packing, and boxes. When payment clears, a single order call sends the job to the print farm.
No tooling, no minimums
Because the STL is the only "tool," there are no molds to cut and no minimum order quantities. Order 20 units to test a listing or 2,000 to get through peak season — the flow is identical. Change the design after a round of reviews? Upload the new file and the next restock uses it.
Build your own
SlantBox is one example of what a small team can ship on top of the Slant 3D API in days, not months. Any storefront, marketplace tool, or internal workflow can do the same: upload a file, get a price, place an order, and let the print farm handle the rest.
